Overview

Job Title: Sewing Machinist & Finisher Location: Huntingdon Permanent position My client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of printed and display solutions and signage. They now have an opportunity for a Sewing Machinist & Finisher to become an integral member of their small team, using a wide range of materials. Main Duties to Include: · Sewing & Finishing all or part of a Custom Printed Fabric Display. · Quality checking that a finished article matches the pattern instructions. · Achieving quality standards and production output deadlines, whilst upholding H&S regs. · Oiling, cleaning and maintaining the sewing machines. · Finish flags, banners, pop ups, totems, bunting, pallet covers, tablecloths and roller banners. · In the finishing manages absence, schedule all orders and purchase all finishing components. Personal Specification • Work accurately at speed with excellent eye for detail • Flexible with an ability to communicate at all levels • Organise and manage work flow with ability to concentrate for long periods of time • Experience of handling and executing machining work in a production sewing setting • Familiarity in a printing related industry is desirable but not essential • Punctual and reliable Hours & Pay 08:30 17:00 £9ph 3-month probationary period - then reviewed Ad-hoc overtime time & Half Company Pension Refreshments provided
