It could be that you have either a degree in Maths itself or Physics or even Chemical Engineering and would like a post supporting pupils. As a Maths Tutor & Academic Mentor you will be able to reach the minds of your pupils as you inspire a love for learning in them through an energetic approach to teaching. As a Maths Tutor & Academic Mentor you must have the drive and enthusiasm to become a confident practitioner learning how to approach different pupils of different abilities effectively. As a Maths Tutor & Academic Mentor at this school you will be supporting Maths in a general capacity, across the key stages. The Maths Tutor & Academic Mentor will be responsible for the academic and social progress of the SEN pupils under your charge, working with them in small groups or individually to target their areas for development. You will be gaining vital classroom skills by running small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions for pupils who might be benefit from further class support. As a Maths Tutor & Academic Mentor your role will involve you working in A-level and GCSE classes that make good use of your degree subject. Part of your role will include observing and leading whole classes and oscillating between leading 1:1 sessions and small groups.
