JOB TITLE: Graduate Business Analyst START DATE: January/ February 2020 OVERVIEW TO ROLE: Analysing the client’s requirements in order to design efficient and effective processes that meet the client’s needs, then translating that information into detailed system requirements for input to the solution delivery stage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Working within the Project, Product and Service operation streams to utilise skills across the organisation Gaining a high profile through exposure to architectural and functional aspects of the software development lifecycle and client solutions Exposure across many diverse client projects and product teams, allowing you the opportunity to learn new skills and further develop existing ones Defines and documents customer business functions and processes. · Consults with customers to identify, define and document their business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other stakeholders in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of software applications. Analyses the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training. Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions and requirements. Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality. Plans, organises and conducts business process reengineering/improvement projects. The senior team work closely with their reports to develop skills and ability. PERSON SPECIFICATION- Our client is looking for smart, self-motivated graduates to join their growing project/product/service teams, so enthusiasm and team participation will be key to your success. Essential: Educated to degree level (Business or IT related) Passion for accuracy and an eye for detail Strong testing of analytical skills Work well under pressure Ability to build relationships quickly with clients and have clear communication Flexibility to work away from home for extended periods of time Talent/Passion for data analysis and Information Technology within the finance sector Desirable: Exposure in Asset Finance or the Finance industry would be beneficial Experience of technical skills that allow you to perform analysis of design and system issues e.g. SQL would be beneficial HOURS OF WORK: Monday- Friday 37.5 hours per week. Core hours are 10 am - 4 pm.
