Overview
Our client are looking for a part qualified/qualified by experience accountant to join their team near Euston station We are looking for an Accountant to work within this department. This role will require somebody committed to a high standard of work. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Financial Controller. Duties & Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the role are varied and will include: Bringing the accounts up to P&L/balance sheet level for 5 companies Inter-company accounts Preparing reports and forecasts Preparing management accounts Preparing VAT returns Ownership of various nominal ledgers within the group including Balance Sheet reconciliations and various P&L schedules Other ad hoc duties in line with the role The successful candidate should possess at least 3 years’ experience within an accounting role. They should also demonstrate the following qualities: Excellent attention to detail Strong numeric and analytical skills Strong problem solving skills An advanced level ability with Microsoft Excel, along with being a strong general IT user Able to work well under pressure The ability to work in a team environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant or possibly qualified by experience.
