Overview
Simpson Judge are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, successful SME based in Crewe. This is a brand new opportunity for an experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join the business during an exciting, high growth stage. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will ultimately become Number 1 in Finance and offer support with Commercial and Operational decisions within the business. Duties: Assist in developing detailed and rigorous budgets Improve financial controls in the business, especially cash flow management Support functional leaders in understanding the financial performance of their area and improve financial understanding of drivers of profit and cash Create and improve detailed modelling of products and processes and further develop KPI's and performance metrics Support with developing the multi-year strategy for growth and take ownership of creating financial plans for products and teams Assist with the research of potential new markets and products Lead and develop the finance team members - skills & competence development, succession planning, manage talent acquisition and resource planning Responsible for all treasury functions and financial compliance (including holding an FCA Approved Person position) Have overall oversight of cash management To identify future funding requirements and manage external relationships with banks and funding providers Business Modelling - use analytical processes to validate models and ensure accuracy Working with functional heads to build detailed models of future costs, revenue and cash flow Reviewing previous business performance results to identify learnings to incorporate into new models Experience & Skills: CIMA Qualified, minimum 5 years PQE - will consider ACCA or ACA Degree Educated Experience in an owner managed business / SME is highly desired Advanced Excel Strong Business Partnering skills High degree of technical capability in financial management Strong technical skills of budgets, cash flow management, VAT etc In return you will be offered an incredible package with the opportunity to take the step up to number 1 in Finance.
