Overview

My exclusive client, a well-established service sector company based in Crewe is looking to appoint an experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their high calibre team. The group are now a multi-award winning international company who build, design, create and collaborate with leading companies in their sector to provide platforms, portals, apps and data which enhance the traditional offering in their niche industry. They are looking to appoint a talented individual to manage the financial control function of their growing and acquisitive multi-national, multi-business group. Responsibilities Responsible for preparing company and group consolidated monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines for manager, board, bank and investor reporting Management of three operating company management accountants Oversee month-end close of trading company ledgers (multi-country/currency) Holding-company accounting (including bank, equity financing) and group consolidation Development and regular update of short term cash flow model, with 13-week visibility Management of the payroll teams in multiple countries Ensure control over balance sheet accounts, including regular reconciliations Process improvements and systems development, including a change of finance system to be fit for continued international growth Lead audit process & annual statutory accounts & compliance (UK and global) Taxation compliance and planning across the group including corporate, VAT and others Assist Head of FP&A in building appropriate budgets and forecasts Work closely with Financial Operations Manager to ensure transparency of customer collections, suppliers payments and management of working capital. Work with group auditors to provide timely responses to requests for information, in order to allow sign off of statutory accounts by the agreed deadlines Responsible for producing statutory financial reporting in each company jurisdiction, working with external financial accountants as required. Adhere to the organisational financial policies and procedures whilst developing these procedures in line with business goals and compliance needs Support the company management accountants to answers questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions Skills, Knowledge and Experience Qualified accountant with strong experience in a similar role, preferably able to demonstrate solid financial reporting experience. Strong organisational skills as well as strong team management, development and coaching skills Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS102). Knowledge of US GAAP would be beneficial. Experience of group consolidations including multi-currency Experience of accounting for acquisitions, goodwill, and intangibles assets would be beneficial Experience of private equity investment structures and bank covenants would be beneficial Strong finance systems knowledge The salary will be highly competitive for the right candidate and is dependent on experience.
