Recruiting two Mobile Support Workers to join our Homelessness and Complex Needs Services in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark and Westminster £23,500 per annum plus 25 days Annual Leave, Pension schemes, Staff discounts, healthcare and more. This role is working 40 hours per week. Job Overview: Mobile Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to be experienced Support Workers who provides flexible seamless cover for gaps in our Support Worker provision. Mobile Support Workers will provide full support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of those customers. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social support. You will work in a psychologically informed manner with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living and encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Key Accountabilities: - Deliver all aspects of support to enable customers to develop independent living skills as appropriate to their individual needs. In some services, this will include prompting personal and physical care as appropriate - Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers - Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation - Support planning and risk management of customers - Ensuring housing management activities are effectively carried out e.g. ensuring housing benefit is applied for promptly, ensuring void rooms are able to be re let quickly etc. This also includes helping customers manage their rent accounts to ensure they do not end up in rent arrears - Trained to use naloxone as required - Able to work in a psychologically informed way - Monitor medication compliance - Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises - Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed - Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community - Report any observations relating to customers welfare - Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements - Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times. This can include helping to clear rooms which can mean exposure to needles, bodily fluids and/or bed bugs.
