Reporting Analyst - Manchester An growing utilities business based in South Manchester are currently looking for a Reporting Analyst to join their team as an urgent requirement to enhance their MI department. With new products being readied for market alongside pricing analysis and operational support, there is an ever increasing demand for data and analytics for which we need motivated and enthusiastic candidates to help us and the management community steer the ship. For this position you will need a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role involving use of T-SQL, Excel & SSRS. This a great opportunity for an established Reporting Analyst to further develop their skills and progress their career within a growing company and an exciting environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain reporting solutions using SQL, SSRS and other business intelligence tools Gather and translate reporting requirements from stakeholders into SQL scripts / reporting solutions Drive changes to improve reporting in general To undertake all analysis work required by projects including requirements gathering, functional specification creation, data analysis, co-ordination of user testing etc To manage small to medium size reporting projects with guidance when required To manage own time efficiently to ensure that deadlines on multiple tasks/initiatives are met To present insight/recommendations to all levels of management To provide concise, accurate progress updates to MI management To provide efficient communication channels with other departments e.g software development Required experience & skills At least 3 years commercial experience using the Microsoft stack: T-SQL & building reports using SSRS. Power BI an advantage but not essential A solid understanding of relational databases Must be a confident and assertive individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail Strong analytical, problem solving and issue resolution skills A positive, enthusiastic and methodical attitude to SQL development and Business Intelligence Microsoft office suite, primarily excel The role is offering a salary of up to £37,000pa in addition to a bonus, annual salary review and an array of benefits.
