Overview

Oakleaf are currently looking for a motivated and committed Night Healthcare Assistant to join our team at our 22 bed Learning Disability service based in Leicester. Marston Court provides 24 hour care for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and well supported team. This is an extremely busy service and we are looking for candidates that thrive on a busy work load and are able to act calm under pressure. Ideal candidates will have experience of working in a similar healthcare setting and ideally have level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care although not essential. What is essential though is that you share our values in delivering high quality care to those we care for. Main function of the job:- To provide care in accordance with best practices according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and CQC regulations under the direction of the Registered Manager. Main duties of the role:- Ensure that service user rights are protected. Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times. Assist service users individually as required to support them with daily routines and activities. Observing service users ensuring a safe environment, protecting them from harm. Encourage a model of self-care and service user rehabilitation. Systematically solve day-to-day basic problematic issues which arise. Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams so as to maximise opportunities for service user therapeutic care. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision. If applicable, assist in the administration of medication. Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements. Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times In addition to these tasks, employees may at times be asked to carry out other reasonable duties as required by the service.
