Overview

This is a very exciting senior level opportunity based within one of the biggest names in the legal world. You will be tasked with managing relationships and driving business development activity for the Mining sector. The successful candidate will be expected to build personal understanding of current and emerging issues impacting the Mining sector globally, in order to become recognised as one of the lead Business Development professionals for the sector, and will provide strategic and tactical advice designed to evolve and deliver the sector strategy and will support and coach partners in their efforts to maximise market opportunities and pursue new business. The Business Development Lead will regularly review and update the priority clients for the sector, work with practice groups to identify opportunities and to tailor their products to the specific needs of clients in the Mining sector and implement an internal education programme for sector client teams to share best practice, sector knowledge and knowledge of the firm's products. Client Relationship Management will form a strong focus of this challenging role, with the role holder being tasked with developing and implementing robust account plans for their nominated clients and for developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers. You will also be responsible for the development of profile raising initiatives including a content strategy and thought leadership. Pre-requisites for this role include a strong academic background, allied to proven experience in business development with a particular focus on strategic selling, pursuit's management and client relationship management gained within a professional services or large corporate environment. It is essential that the Business Development Lead possesses both strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated expertise in influencing and building trusted relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
