Overview

Warehouse Supervisor Salary competitive dependent on experience 4 on 4 off - Days Rochdale The Candidate Your skills, experiences and attributes will include - Previous experience working in a Supervisory or Managerial role - Experience working in a warehouse / distribution centre or similar - Ideally you will have worked in a fast paced, high volume environment. - Good numeracy and literacy skills - Resilience and drive to succeed - Ability to prioritise work efficiently - Good computer literacy skills Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook - Able to clearly communicate at all levels, both verbally and written - Able to problem solve - Basic Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements - Able to work well under pressure The Role You will be required to support the Shift Manager in the delivery of departmental KPI's and SLA's through the effective management of a team. Duties will include - Responsible for the control of the workflow and organisation of Colleagues to ensure all KPI targets are met and exceeded. - To delegate work appropriately to the Team Leaders where appropriate - Ensure the daily/weekly planning of resource within the department are in line with business requirements; working with other Supervisors and Shift Managers sharing resources appropriately. - To support the recruitment and selection of colleagues through appropriate methods - To develop all colleagues through appropriate methods, such as probationary reviews, appraisals, PDP's and frequent and candid conversations in order to drive high performing individuals and teams. - To adhere to performance and absence management processes to ensure underperformance of individuals and teams is managed appropriately. Analyse trends where appropriate, coach and where necessary follow the disciplinary processes. - To manage any people issues that may arise, seeking guidance from relevant sources where necessary - To highlight any issues or concerns with regards to the operation - To develop strong communication channels within the department and across the site, through regular feedback and conducting of team briefs which ensure all colleagues are informed of site changes and have up to date business information. - To ensure all internal reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner to ensure meaningful data is reported both internal and externally. - To carry out departmental handovers to ensure smooth transitions from one shift to the next. - To carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the business Proman acts as an employment agency for permanent staff and an employment business for temporary workers.
