Procurement Bids and Projects Manager - Product Crawley A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Avionics Procurement function. The business now seeks a high calibre Procurement Bids and Projects Manager to work with our Business Development and Bid teams to represent procurement at the front end of the bid process. The successful person will work with the pre-sales team to identify and develop competitive supply chain solutions and strategic supplier partnerships for key prospects and new product introductions, including the capturing of innovation and identification of value from start-ups, SMEs and market disruptor suppliers. The role will involve working with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure strategic suppliers and sourcing strategies for a campaign, bid, or product are aligned to the strategic needs of the business. An addition focus will be working with internal stakeholders to influence value driven supply chain contributions to Digital and Innovation business strategies. We are looking for an individual to champion and embed new ways of working aligned to future business strategy by being a role model for approaches such as agile project methodologies. You will be innovative and creative with strong influencing skills. Essential Supply chain architecture development and implementation Experience in mid to senior level procurement or commercial roles Track record of success in a similar role in relevant businesses or markets Supplier Relationship and Performance Management, negotiation techniques and measurement Proven track record of working cooperatively with Engineering and R&T teams Experience of business development or sales and marketing Desirable Use of e-procurement tools ERP systems including Oracle (B1) and / or SAP Presenting to end customers during bid or project phases Digital strategy and innovation capture activities Project/Bid Management skills Data management experience / data driven approach In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
