This position is a part of FTI's Technology Consulting team, which provides clients with a combination of industry leading technology together with award-winning consulting and services. As part of the London based team, you will be cross trained in various e-discovery skills and will assist on all phases of e-discovery projects. We work with corporations, governments and law firms to meet legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyse and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk. Our Technology practice helps clients manage the risk and cost of e-discovery. From forensic data collection to fully managed document review services we collaborate with our clients to deliver strategic solutions tailored to their unique legal requirements. With keen focus on the productivity and defensibility of document review, clients rely on our comprehensive portfolio of software and services expertise and address matters ranging from internal investigations to large-scale litigation with global e-discovery requirements. What You'll Do The primary responsibility of this position is to be part of a cross-functional team that manages all areas related to the collection, migration, processing, analysis, conversion, quality assurance, tracking, and management of client data. In particular: Liaise with clients and project managers regarding client requests Plan and execute electronic evidence collection exercises, on-site at client premises around the UK and abroad Utilise industry standard and bespoke software to access, extract and cull data from electronic evidence sources Assume responsibility for day-to-day data processing, conversion, analysis, quality control, import, and other specialised tasks including interaction with other consultants, supervisors, and client personnel Be customer-service-orientated to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary Travel as required to ensure effective management of case activities. (Minimal notice possible) How You'll Grow A 12-month placement running from September 2020 to August 2021 in our London offices, with a competitive salary, plus a discretionary bonus. You'll work side-by-side with experts on a wide variety of complex high-profile projects at multiple stages in the project life cycle, allowing you to apply your skills and intellect to significant, and often critical, business issues. This ensures that you're challenged, whilst also providing an appropriate level of support and guidance as you develop your technical and professional capabilities. Your Performance Coach will work with you to develop a bespoke training and development plan, supporting you in achieving industry-recognised qualifications. You will also have access to our comprehensive in-house learning and development programme as well as the chance to be part of interesting and challenging projects. You may also have the opportunity to travel as part of projects or secondments, most commonly to our clients' offices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
