Gap Professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client who are looking for a Manufacturing Team Leader Hours : Monday to Thursday 8am-4.45pm, Friday 8am-2pm Salary : Negotiable (Dependant on Experience) Location: Torquay Job Role: Reporting to the manufacturing manager, coordinate and control the manufacturing team activities and resources in order to achieve the manufacturing plan safely to the correct quality on time to budget. Experience, attributes & skills sought: Coordinate with Manufacturing Manager to ensure that team has correct number of trained people to deliver the manufacturing plan Ensure that all team members are conforming to all health and safety procedures and promote a culture of proactive safety on the shop floor Ensure that all team members are conforming to Quality procedures and promote a culture of Quality conformance on the shop floor. Support continuous improvement activities to achieve budgetary targets To support manufacturing manager in appraisal process to ensure all team members receive appropriate feedback on performance and growth opportunities Advise and support MM to with grading activity recommendations Support MM in following disciplinary procedure To provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members To proactively manage any manufacturing deviations from target and to ensure where appropriate required escalation process is followed Requirements: Use of Syspro and legacy business systems (Advantageous) Awareness of documentation structure General computer literacy Product and process knowledge Understanding of metrics Trained in LEAN manufacturing practices Qualifications: Recognise management qualification and technical qualification (desirable) 3 year's experience in a technical production environment Demonstrated leadership skills and have worked within a manufacturing team Closing Date: 28th March 2020 To apply please follow the application process for the site this job is advertised on or email your CV by applying for the above position and providing your personal data to us you understand that your data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy.
