Overview
We have an exciting and dynamic client in the Beauty Sector in Manchester. This could be your opportunity to enter the world of beauty buying. This role demands superb negotiating skills as they buy from the grey market and prices change rapidly – so if you have experience of buying from the grey market this would be welcomed here. You will have 3 years plus buying experience and be degree educated. You do not have to have experience of the beauty sector but will want to establish a career in this sector. And a career is what is on offer here.They are looking for someone to develop and ultimately progress in the team to senior buyer level. So you will understand buying in the FMCG sector and on a day to day basis your role will cover the following: Reviewing sales plans and providing buy plans for purchase decisions Producing monthly forecasts by product line – understanding sell thru and stock holding Calculating margins per item and understanding stock levels before getting approval for purchasing Working with brand owners to explore new opportunities and establish forecasts for delivery during peak period Reviewing all forecasts bi-monthly to ensure forecasts represent actual requirements Regular meetings with the Sales Team to ascertain their customers’ requirements Working closely with Category Managers to review Sales, Stock, etc through their trackers to ensure stock levels meet their KPI requirements Regularly reviewing retail prices in customer stores to monitor price differentiation amongst retailers and impact on purchasing costs.
