Overview
Procurement and Commercial Manager Enfield £50,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits Role Profile Our client is a public sector organisation based near Enfield. They are currently looking to recruit a Procurement and Commercial Manager to lead a small team and establish best practice for this function. Key responsibilities include: Managing end to end sourcing projects for raw materials and sub-contract engineering services Negotiating and agreeing JCT / NEC3 contracts Engaging and advising stakeholders at all levels, including specification development and advising on best practice procurement Managing high value tenders and contractual negotiations with suppliers, working to JCT / NEC3 Undertaking Contract Management activities to manage and optimise supplier performance throughout the life of the contract Managing and developing the Purchasing function Skills and Experience The successful candidate will demonstrate: Previous experience in a purchasing role, managing complex sourcing projects Good working knowledge of public sector procurement including public sector frameworks Previous experience in engineering with a good working knowledge of JCT or NEC3 contracts Proven track record of negotiating contractual terms, tendering and contract management (including JCT and/or NEC3) Proven stakeholder management skills and excellent communication / interpersonal skills Excellent negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen Experience of managing a team CIPS qualification Client Our client is a public sector organisation based near Enfield Remuneration £50,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits About Cast UK Cast UK is a leading executive consultancy, providing national recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates.
