Overview
An 'Outstanding' Specialist School for pupils with Autism is seeking a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team on a long term basis One of my Key Clients currently recruiting for a Key Stage 1 primary teacher to join a specialist school that continues to be rated good by OFSTED. As a result of good teaching and robust assessment systems pupils currently in the early years are making good progress from their low starting points. The school is looking for someone to continue this good progress through to Key Stage 2. My client is looking to arrange interviews ASAP. However, the candidate will need to do a trial day before being asked to an interview. This position is a long term role that will last for the rest of the academic year. The specialist school is based in Reading and is easily accessible via public transport. The school also has parking spaces that are available to all staff. The primary teacher role will include: Preparing and delivering lessons to Key Stage 1 students Using a range of different learning resources and equipment Teacher who can work with SEN students, mainly ASD Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress The successful candidate must have: Qualified Teacher Status / QTLS Eligible to work in the UK Positive and energetic manner Enthusiastic about working with children Full understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks Do you know other great teachers or support staff?
