Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Statistician to join this leading Agribusiness company based in the M4 Corridor. Responsibilities include: * Proven statistics experience which can be from an academic/research background. * Strong technical skills are essential, as well as excellent personal skills as you will need to be an ambassador for the group. * Ability to be very interactive and collaborate with scientists in the field and in the lab - this will involve plenty of face to face interaction. * Ability to 'think outside the box' as this is not a standard role where you can apply statistics from a text book, will need to be innovative and creative with the analysis. * Ability to work autonomously, as you will have a free rein to be creative in designing and analysing projects as the environment is not regulated. Education and experience: * You will need a good degree in a maths-related subject plus an MSc and/or relevant PhD in statistics. * Good working knowledge of SAS and/or R, and a familiarity with biological processes are both desirable but not essential. * Strong background as a Statistician. * Experience in experimental design. * A consultative, personable approach. * Ability to communicate with various departments, both Statisticians and non-Statisticians. * Proven time management as this is not a particularly deadline driven role.
