Overview
Test Architect Location: Stevenage Salary: Up to £45,000 Overtime, Pension, Bonus & more Working within a world leading, technical engineering organisation, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Test Architect who will be responsible for all aspects of the product test throughout the lifecycle. Test Architect responsibilities Responsible for managing Test and Testability requirements from all Customers (Internal, Domestic and Export) across the Product Life Cycle. Actively lead and ensure optimum Built In Test (BIT) coverage is achieved at system and sub-system level Management of Test Coherence across the system Responsible for proposing and recommending, with the Chief Design Engineer, the cost vs test coverage trade-offs. Responsible for managing the product factory Pass Out Testing requirements. Responsible for managing testability requirements for individual sub systems. Responsible for the system Testability Modelling in order to understand the systems achieved test coverage. Support to sub system testability modelling in order to ensure that overall test objectives are achieved Working with the manufacturing team, manage the integration of the Special-To-Type Test Equipment (STTE) required to support production with the tests defined. Defining the project diagnostic strategies Interface with and manage customer expectations throughout the development process Responsible for implementing the Test and Testability Policy within a Program. Ensure modularity and reuse objectives are achieved. Responsible for controlling any assigned budgets, managing personal workload and identifying any further resource needs. Test Architect skills and qualifications required: Ideally educated to degree level with substantial experience of Test, Electrical and Electronic engineering, ideally including at least one of the following: Digital electronics and microprocessor systems. Analogue electronics and RF. Power Electronics.
