The Opportunity MBDA UK is looking for an experienced engineer, with knowledge of Electronics and Test, to support the Test & Evaluation team in defining and implementing their Test and Testability strategy across multiple projects. What are we looking for? A driven Engineer who: Has experience of Test, Electrical and Electronic engineering, including: Digital electronics & microprocessor systems. Analogue electronics & RF. Power Electronics. Has worked with structured Test Modelling tools & techniques (preferably eXpress) Has a good understanding of broader engineering elements, including Equipment design and Safety Systems Has some experience of work package management Has the ability to turn thoughts and ideas into actions Has a high degree of self-motivation and is able to work both independently and as part of a team. Has very good interpersonal and influencing skills. Has the determination and tenacity to see things through to completion Can travel and be part of a multinational working group What’s in it for you? The Role In collaboration with the Group Lead, you will be helping to define and implement the Test and Testability Strategy, ensuring it is applied consistently across Projects. This means: Producing and managing plans for test & testability activities within your sphere of responsibility; ensuring that they are completed on time and on cost. This will involve working with Engineering Project Manager(s) to propose and recommend the cost vs effective trade-offs associated with Test & Testability implementation on various projects. Working closely with the Test & Evaluation group lead to identify any resource issues that may impact the delivery of your plan(s). Defining the Test Equipment requirements for both Development and Production test Working with the manufacturing organisation to define the Special-To-Type (STTE) strategy Implementing policies to ensure optimal achievement of modularity & reuse in the Test and Testability domain. Ensuring optimum Built In Test (BIT) coverage is achieved at Equipment level. Participating in the Test and Testability Working Group to help shape / improve relevant policies & procedures. Participating in Knowledge management activities, such as learning reviews and knowledge capture. What’s great about the team?
