A Bristol accountancy practice is looking to bolster a specialist sector of their business offering all this and more. Client Details Based in Bristol, this leading accountancy practice has a highly successful and growing Audit and Assurance division with one of the largest teams across the region, delivering a range of services to large/medium OMBs, AIM listed companies, large corporates, charities and other clients. Alongside this the firm has an expanding Not for Profit and Pension Scheme division, servicing schemes up to £1billion and charities with around £15million income. Due to growth and a culture of internal promotion, excellent progression prospects are on offer. Due to significant growth and positive developments the firm is looking to bolster the Pension Scheme accounting division of the firm, as a direct result of these developments. The partners are looking to recruit a Part Qualified or Qualified Senior Auditor into this specialist division, within a role offering excellent progression potential. Description Joining as a Part Qualified or Qualified Pensions Schemes Auditor mouldable in level and fit around the background of the right professionals, based in the Bristol offices you will take responsibility for the planning, process and completion of the audit process with significant client contact, developing key relationships with your clients, with quick potential for progression on offer in this team. The work offers excellent work life balance within a team and working environment and culture here that offers the best of both worlds in terms of not compromising on the quality of client , but without the significant impact on work life balance that can and does affect people in other environments with less away work with as much as around 70% office based - 30% out with clients and with typically at most around 2 - 3 days out, rather than protracted periods away. In the pensions team you will also get significant exposure to the whole process with involvement early on controlling the whole audit cycle and will be encouraged to have much more involvement in a client facing capacity with involvement meeting clients alongside partner/directors and senior managers and get involved on the business development side, assisting in pitches and tenders and delivering on these. You will audit investments and other transactions, working with wide ranging third parties involved with this as well, so dealing with other organisations and building relationships with client contacts across a wide range. Profile The role will suit a varied profile background across either an audit, profession based background, and/or industry, pension scheme administrator background as the firm is looking to hire across a range of levels. You may be part ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified , with a background either in a directly related audit field, (pension schemes - with a good working knowledge and technical application of accounts and auditing standards including the Pensions SORP), or auditing in other sectors, eg financial services, or mixed OMBs/corporates etc with an accountancy practice background and looking to diversity your career. Or given the firm is looking to hire across a range of levels, experience and background you may be a specialist pension scheme administrator in industry, able to demonstrate the desire and skills required to transfer your skills into a leading professional services firm environment and develop an audit career, within this growing team. Job Offer Circa £25000 - circa £40,000 or more, dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
