Overview

Join the family Working as part of a team you will take responsibility for work space, ingredients, equipment and co-ordinate the team to ensure the right people and skills are available to deliver and meet production targets on time, to cost and specification. You will work within all areas of the bakery reporting to a Production Manager. The responsibility of this Production Supervisor role will be to manage the entire shift having direct responsibility for the Production team and management responsibility for the backshift Hygiene team too., Ensuring both production and hygiene tasks are completed to “excellence” standards. You will also be responsible for creating and environment of continuous improvement to ensure we remain competitive therefore knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing techniques are desirable, along with a good knowledge of HACCP, an understanding of the required health and safety responsibilities and a relevant Food Safety qualification (minimum of Level 3). As well as operational experience, you will also possess strong people management skills with experience of dealing with difficult people matters, with an open, honest, fair and consistent approach. Ideally you should have experience of leading within a food manufacturing environment and management of the day to day operations in a high-speed environment. Pay Rates Grade B3 £32,035.11 Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours 45 hours per week. Mon 3pm – Midnight, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2pm – 11pm and Friday 1pm – 10pm Job Description Essential Skills Criteria Good interpersonal skills Ability to communicate and influence at all levels Computer literate in Microsoft packages (Excel & Word), SAP experience an advantage Proven record of delivering results Strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills Proven experience in a similar role Proven track record of driving a performance culture Energetic and enthusiastic Proven ability to motive teams Ability to challenge in line with Greggs values Skills Key Responsibilities: To supervise the production operation in line with the production plan. To monitor and manager performance; setting individual and team targets & objectives Carry out regular one to ones with team members and effective personal development reviews Ensure the team delivers the key requirements in line with BRC accreditation Manage the quality delivery of Standard Operational Procedures and company policies/procedures Ensure team members carry out their duties in line with the required compliance standards Consistently manage time and attendance Ensure team performance meets standards from both a task and behavioural perspective Lead by example by always behaving in line with the company values.
