Role: Senior Medical Advisor Therapy Area: Cardiovascular/thrombosis Package: Negotiable basic salary, car allowance and comprehensive reward package Location: Head Office Based, Buckinghamshire - with travel to various locations across the UK and internationally depending on business need. As a Senior Medical Advisor you will support the UK Business and provide internal and external medical support by being an expert on product, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within the disease area, ensuring compliance with SOPs as well as legal and ethical standards. Accountabilities Medical Affairs input at UK and European level to ensure UK representation in European development plans and lifecycle management plans. Provides expert support relating to product, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within disease areas. Assess promotional materials to ensure that all claims are supported by scientific data and presented in an accurate, fair and balanced manner, ensuring compliance with SOPs as well as legal and ethical standards Continuously develop own professional skills and knowledge in order to make a valued contribution to the development of individual and team performance at the UK business harnessing this knowledge by providing a broad perspective to strategic discussions As Local Safety Officer, maintain the UK Pharmacovigilance System Qualifications GMC Registered Physician or UK-registered pharmacist with a higher degree At least one year experience as an ABPI final signatory. Full driving licence and ability to travel within the UK and internationally. Person/Experience Required Essential: Experience of working in a medical advisor, clinical research or similar role where there is strong evidence of gaining healthcare professional insight and providing medical input into brand strategy. Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments. Knowledge of the UK National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of statistical methods. Experience of working effectively in cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with External Experts. Demonstrated ability to write scientific publications. Knowledge of pricing issues and experience of contribution to HTA dossiers. Complete knowledge of UK and EU regulations e.g. MHRA, GVP. Advanced presentation skills. Advanced user of Microsoft Office software products. Desirable: Experience in the CV and thrombosis Disease Area. Innovative approaches to managing external customers and internal partners Leading edge approaches to capturing customer insight Previous experience of leading and managing teams.
