Outline We have a vacancy supporting adults for a part-time Support Worker in our Chesterfield Outreach service. The position is for 20 hours a week working on a rota basis which can be discussed further at interview. You will play a key part in assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping them be active members of their local community. Activities might include going to the gym, cinema, ice skating, bowling, dog walking or visiting the local pub. You will also offer support within their own homes, supporting with preparing meals, cleaning and making and attending appointments. Because of the complexity of their learning disabilities, some people require help with intimate care. We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Head of Service. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. What we need from you Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn. It is essential for this position that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, together your own transport which is insured for business use. You must also be over the age of 25 as you may be required to drive a motability vehicle.
