Overview

Support Worker / Regional Fostering Children & Young People Participation Advisor with experience of working in a Fostering setting with substantial experience of working with children and young people is required to join the Midlands and North Team and Partner Agencies. As a successful candidate you should ideally have a sound knowledge of a range of legislation that supports human rights of children and young people along with knowledge of participation and engagement theories which are relevant to the role. As the Support Worker / Regional Fostering Children & Young People Participation Advisor you will be able to build effective relationships and secure improved outcomes for the children. You will have excellent practices in supporting and participating in meaningful influencing decision making when it comes to the children and young people, whilst working with effective professionals from a diverse range of organisations. Working as the Support Worker / Regional Fostering Children & Young People Participation Advisor you will use your own initiative using the policies and procedures put into practice, you will have the ability to empower and engage with children and young people, to help them voice and contribute to decisions which will in the long term be a positive change for their future. The ideal candidate should ideally have a sound knowledge of a range of legislation that supports human rights of children and young people along with knowledge of participation and engagement theories which are relevant to the role. A good working knowledge of child protection policies and process along with a good understanding of issues that can affect children and young people and the barriers to their effective participation and engagement.
