OSG Escort- HMP Leyhill- Full time, Mon-Fri ( 8am-5pm) Ongoing temp position. Your new company : HMP Leyhill is a male open 'D' category resettlement prison in South Gloucestershire. As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of security & support operatives, Hays is seeking to recruit Operational Support Grades (OSGs) for HMP Leyhill. Parking on site Your new role You will be working as part of the operational team within the Prison Site. Duties include and are not limited to: Supervision of visitors Patrolling Perimeter and grounds Escorting contractors & vehicles Searching Buildings The job role is for a Security Officer to work Monday to Friday. This is a full time position on a long term temporary basis with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role within the prison service. The rates of pay is £9.20 per hour inclusive of holiday, which will increase to a £9.77 (premium) per hour for all working hours on completion of your 12-week probationary period. What you'll need to succeed : The successful applicant does not require any experience as full training is provided, however a military or security background would be beneficial but not necessary. All applicants will be subject to the HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure which can take up to 4 weeks, this can include a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. You must hold a Valid Passport or Birth Certificate & Photo Driving Licence in your current address. All applicants must be able to provide details of 2 satisfactory references, at least one from an ex-employer.
