Overview
Weekend Care Co-ordinator , Preston Hours : Rotational shift patterns will be Saturday and Sunday 7.00am – 15.00hrs. Saturday And Sunday 14.45hrs – 22.45hrs Areas Covered - PR1, PR2, PR5, PR7, PR25, BB1, BB3 Guardian Homecare are looking for dependable and dedicated people to join our highly motivated Weekend on call team at our Preston branch based at Bamber Bridge. We are currently looking to recruit 2 call handlers to deal with emergency calls from various sectors including service users/family members, care staff, local councils, GPs, local health services/professionals, community services and other emergency services. Call handlers are first point of contact and are required to work quickly and calmly, taking essential details and logging the information onto a computer system and making decisions about how best to handle the situation. As a call handler, you often work under pressure and will be required to think fast, multi task and use your own initiative. Excellent customer care skills, communication skills and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize calls and give telephone advice. The weekend on call team, ensure that all calls answered are within a predetermined timeframe and are dealt with both promptly and professionally to ensure the smooth running of the Intermediate Crisis, Reablement and Domiciliary contracts. Calls are from the geographical areas of Central Lancashire, West Lancashire and East Lancashire. Successful applicants will be flexible, responsive individuals who work well under pressure. The position is fast paced, attention to detail is essential both written and verbally as are proven IT skills. Experience of working in a busy call center environment, within the care sector or similar is essential.
