Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Merchants Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Merchants Industry Sector: National and Independent Plumbing & Heating Merchants, Pipe Clips and associated Fixing & Fastening Area to be covered: Central – Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire & West Midlands Remuneration: £30,000-£36,000 £6,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car Comprehensive Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Merchants will involve: Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of pipe clips and associated fixing & fastenings 40% of your time account developing circa 200 active national plumbing & heating merchants (Travis Perkins, Grafton, Wolseley, Saint Gobain etc.) Creating awareness amongst branch managers in respect of what products are available via their distribution centres (distribution centre agreements looked after by Commercial Director) 60% of your time account developing circa 200 active independent plumbing & heating merchants Responsible for approx. £400,000 of turnover from the independent plumbers merchants and heating merchants Inheriting a region currently performing in line with budget expectation Order values typically £125-£150 The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Merchants with: · Plumbing & heating associated field sales experience · Ideally worked for a manufacturer, but may be open to field sales experience with a distributor · Industry experience, sold to plumbing & heating merchants · CRM / Microsoft office experience · Strong account management and relationships building skills · Proven track record in field sales and territory management · Autonomous in approach · Good solid work ethic and ‘get up and go’ · Trustworthy and self motivated · Enthusiastic and hungry The Company: · Est. circa 35 Years · Circa £7m turnover · 40 employees · Privately held Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire on 01625 527207 for an immediate interview Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: domestic boilers, pipes, fittings, water heaters, biomass boilers or heat pumps / renewable energy, continuous flow hot water, water systems, storage tank, water treatment, solar, solar thermal, gas water heaters, twin flow, heat pumps, heating radiators and associated plumbing and heating products
