Overview
A growing and awarded accountancy practice that has expanded to 5 offices around London is looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their fast-paced team. The role will be based from their Chelsea office where 5 out of their 20 Partners are operating from. Established over 100 years ago, they have created a successful and happy team of accountants who deliver services such as Accounts, Audit and Taxation to high standards creating great customer satisfaction. The key to their success is taking care of their staff as well as clients which is why they have a high staff retention. This role is a mixed role split between 60% Audit and 40% Accounts preparation with a client bank including property developers, owner managed businesses, media and entertainment with turnovers of up to £80 million. Main duties of a Semi Senior Accountant: Audit 60% Opportunity for involvement in planning smaller audits Assisting on audits with turnovers of up to £80 million Complete all substantive tests with minimal supervision Complete stock takes and write up detailed notes and results Supervise trainees providing them with support and assistance Accounts 40% Preparation of Statutory Accounts for the review of the Manager Personal and Corporation tax returns Preparing Fixed Asset Register Calculating Accruals and Prepayments Benefits of the role as a Semi Senior Accountant: Full Study support Private medical cover Pay rise after every exam passed Team building events (paintball, go karting, pizza Fridays) Flexi time Dress down Fridays Equal Opportunities Employer Requirements of the role as a Semi Senior Accountant: Minimum 2-year experience in a UK accountancy practice with audit exposure Ideally ACA/ACCA Part Qualified Semi Senior Accountant £30,000 - £36,000 per annum Chelsea
