The role In this role you will assisting audit seniors on statutory audits, as well as being involved in ad hoc project work. In summary you will: Prepare and complete sections on audit files, and clear all review points allocated to you Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships Assist a team on ad hoc assignments Evaluate variences/differences in your tests and obtain explanations for them and substantiate them Identify the most appropriate client staff to provide explanations for these findings Question these people constructivley, pursuing all and only those matters which require further explanation Draw up management letter points and adjustments (actual and potential) which you think should be brought to the attention of the client Be responsible for identifying issues on ad hoc projects, which need to be communicated to the client What you will need to apply Clean driving license Be training towards an ACA/ CA/ ACCA qualification Be aware of Professional Ethics at all times Good communication skills (verbal and written) Good interpersonal skills The ability to work on your own initiative Investigate skills (e.g. analytical review) Apply your accumulated knowledge to successive assignments Understand the Motor Trade, the issues it faces, and the specific accounting policies (e.g. consignment stock) Understand what services ASE offers to the Motor Trade Speak up when you do not understand anything or if you need more time to complete a task Self-belief and the ability to complete a task in challening situations Self-control in difficult or challenging circumstances A keen eye for detail A willingness to travel nationally and (sometimes) internationally
