Overview
Senior Credit Controller Permanent Based in Stafford £25,000 per annum Your new company Your new company are a leader in their field based in Stafford and are looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new role The main focus of the role is to achieve the objectives of company cash collection and monitor the daily sales ledger. You will maintain key controls within the Department and look to resolve debtor disputes/queries that cause conflict to prompt payments. You will also look to liaise closely with internal departments to assist invoice production and query resolution. Key responsibilities and tasks will include but not be limited to; Reducing aged debt Respond to and resolve queries to aid payment Ensure billing information meets requirements set Collect both due and overdue transactions within the Sales Ledger Understand 60 day debt and look to reduce or stop where possible other debts from ageing to 60 days Manage challenging and complex accounts Secure payment promises to hit targets Reconcile accounts Understand debtor disputes or queries Support the Credit Control Manager with debtor reports Support Credit Controllers with complex items Support payments by direct debit Ensure all cash receipts are allocated to the Sales Ledger Authorise credit notes in line with company approval limits. Support and oversee the Credit Control team in the absence of the Manager. Ability to assess the need to issue a final notice on an account and recommend legal action where appropriate. What you'll need to succeed Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal Experienced in negotiation Good problem solving skills Minimum 2 years experience in a Senior Credit role previously Good working use of Excel and Word Ability to lead by example, inspire others and positively interpret your passion for Credit Good self motivation skills What you'll get in return You will receive a rewarding career in a growing, exciting organisation, on site parking, a great team environment and salary of £25,000 DOE.
