Overview

Leading Fitout Contractor needs ambitious assistant QS to join their team. Your new company Our client are a leading Edinburgh based fitout contractor with a very strong brand in the market which has generated a strong pipeline of work for the new year. With that in mind they are in the market for an assistant QS to join their team. Our client work all over Scotland but with an office based in Edinburgh have found most of their work is based in the Edinburgh and Lothian region. Your new role As assistant QS you will be working on small to medium size fitout projects working from both a main contractor and subcontractor perspective. Most of their work will be high end internal fitout within the educational ( schools and university) and commercial office space and you will be responsible for administering and managing the subcontracts on these projects. From procurement of subcontractors to managing your client relationship you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of your projects. You will be part of a tight knit supportive commercial team with a strong focus on career development as their business grows. Our client win most of their work through existing relationships and negotiated tenders so exceptional client communication skills are essential. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have completed their degree in quantity surveying and be ideally working within a fitout contractor at the moment and have at least 1 years full time post grad experience. Perhaps you are working within a contractor and you are looking for something a bit more professional and who are committed to supporting your ongoing career development.
