Live at Home Area Manager based in the South West Permanent - Full Time - 37 hours per week Interviews being held on 6th April in Derby. The area covered by the post is from Camborne in Cornwall to the west, to Banbury and Swindon to the east, and Penarth in South Wales. There is an established office base in Swindon. Our South East and East Anglia Live at Home schemes provide practical and social support to older people living in the community. As part of a small team reporting to the Head of Live at Home, this role provides support to our existing and newly developing community services. The Live at Home Area Manager will lead new community developments across the area, as we seek to expand our services to reach more and more older people across the UK, as part of our 10 year strategy. The area manager role is a varied one that encompasses community development and employee progression through coaching and producing strong fair leaders not just managers. Each day is unique, the remit of the role is extremely broad, however the autonomy we have across our areas enables development of people, services and partnerships based on community needs. As an Area Manager at MHA you would be responsible for performance management of KPI'S to ensure the sustainability of our schemes backed up by central support and a strong organisational strategy. We have a strong support network of peers and encourage this with all teams. MHA's Live at Home community services respond to local needs and offer support for older people to reduce loneliness and social isolation. The services delivered in each area are in response to the needs of the local community, and include signposting and information, one to one befriending visits, lunch clubs, social activities, and telephone-based support. You will lead and co-ordinate this work in your area, including monitoring standards and developing policies and practice. Experience of management of community services and working with volunteers is essential. The job requires monthly travel to the services within your area and may include overnight stays.
