Accountant Property Portfolio Accountant - London SW1V - Leading Property Company Are you a proven Accounts Assistant within the Property sector looking for your next progression step? Are you a Junior Accountant seeking the next stage of your career? Our leading Property sector client based in SW1V are seeking a Property Portfolio Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. Working within a highly successful team, and supporting the Property Portfolio Accounting Team Leader, you will play a key role in the team by maintaining financial control of a selected number of managed property portfolios, by liaising with the centralised Client Finance team and Property Managers to ensure the highest possible standard is provided to the clients. Structured career development Leading industry employer with extensive benefits and career opportunities Excellent working environment and support Competitive salary package and industry leading benefits Supported learning and development Main duties include: Service Charge Accounting - Ensuring timely preparation and finalisation of all year end accounts for the allocated portfolio and assist in the preparation of year end accrual and prepayment schedules Financial Reporting - Ensuring that all client, internal or statutory reporting requirements are met in line with the relevant deadlines. Statutory Accounts and Taxation - Working with independent Accountants, Clients and internal stakeholders to help ensure all statutory accounts & taxation affairs are completed and filed by the independent accountant within the relevant deadlines Independent Accounts - Assist in the monitoring of the performance of the independent accountants to ensure the required level of service is provided and to seek alternative options if necessary. Completion management - To keep up to date accounting records regarding developer site completions, to include: - Keeping records of completion statements and cheques before passing cheques to Account Receivable to bank. Assist with Client meetings - Where needed, attend client meetings to discuss the accounts and help to generate fee income where possible should the request be outside of the standard management fees Ad-Hoc Accounting - Assist the team with any additional ad-hoc accounting or administrative tasks as may be necessary from time to time for the department to achieve their objectives Experience/Skills required: Proven Accounts experience within a Propriety or related environment Professional, motivated and keen to learn, develop and progress Well developed interpersonal and oral communications skills Interpersonal skills and customer focused Excellent numerical & reporting skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure For more information on this role, please apply today with your latest CV Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
