Overview
A Financial Controller is required by a successful and growing company based in Glasgow for an all-encompassing Accounting role including the management of a small team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Directors of the Group, the existing finance team and relevant stakeholders in the company. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the effective financial management of the company and will be responsible for all financial functions. This is the first position of its kind within the company and is now required due to continued company growth. A salary of up to £45,000 is available depending on experience. What you will be doing; To be responsible for the general financial management of the company. Manage all finance and accounting operations Responsible for providing management information to the business team. Oversee integration into automated reporting and payroll platforms. Coordinating and directing the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Publish timely monthly financial forecasts. The development of internal control policies and procedures Manage all billing, A/R, A/P and cash flow forecasts Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Support month end and year end close process. Management of a small finance team What you need; Proven working experience as a Financial Controller Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements. Experience with general ledger functions and the month / year end close process. CIMA or ACCA qualified or equivalent would be useful Experience with regulatory filings including VAT returns and PAYE Salary: Basic salary to £45k basic plus benefits Location: Glasgow This role requires some willing and able to work at every level as you will have big responsibility in a smaller environment.
