Machine Operator

Role: Production Operator / Machine Operator / Technical Operator Salary: £24,000 to £25,000 per annum overtime (£2k to £5k) benefits (gym onsite) opportunities to move up within their pay scale and job functions Location: Commutable from Southampton, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Fareham, Chichester and surrounding areas Hours: Continental Shifts - Covering nights and days (12 hour shifts) Company We are currently recruiting for Machine Operators / Technical Operators / Production Operators to join a growing manufacturing company on a Permanent basis. Currently they are going through a period of growth and have a number of new opportunities. Responsibilities · Ensure equipment is set up to the relevant specifications · Check and monitor product quality against defined standards · Ensure all production requirements are met to the best of the Operators ability and ensure that machine outputs are maximised at all times · Ensure effective communication with Team Leaders to keep them informed of production status, highlighting any issues or problems as they arise · Undertake fault finding activities and conduct repairs where possible · Contact Engineering when repairs by the Operator are not possible · Ensure minimum wastage of materials at all times through effective machine operation · Conduct effective shift handovers · Keep work areas clean and tidy Requirements · Worked in a Manufacturing and/or Production environment · Machine operating experience · Mechanical aptitude with the ability and ideally experience carrying out minor repairs, but training will be provided · Ideally you will hold some sort of engineering qualification, such as mechanical or electrical, but not essential · Good English communication and written skills · Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in · Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with the hunger to learn and grow If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
