Overview
Sea Import Clerk - VR/20866 The Company & Role: Our client is a privately owned and independent freight and logistics company, who deal with air, sea and road shipments for both imports and exports. They are currently looking for a Sea Import Clerk to join their team in Northampton. You will be required to work independently within a small team, supporting where required from the Operations Manager. Duties to include: Quoting clients and overseas offices Liaising with sales person Managing the transport of goods process from overseas through to client's premises Dealing with FCL and LCL Selecting carriers Controlling customs clearances Understanding tariff classification process Controlling costs of suppliers Selecting transporter and arranging delivery Invoicing clients and paying carriers Working hours are 8.30am to 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch.
