Northamptonshire Police Force is recruiting for two Information Assurance Researchers to join the team on a fixed term contract basis. Working 9am -5pm Mon-Fri, the opportunity is based at Headquarters and is for an initial 3 months with a possibility of an extension. The post involves carrying out research and if appropriate making disclosures in respect of information requests received by the Force Information Unit. Main Responsibilities: - To carry out research in response to requests for Data Protection subject access requests and support colleagues with regards to other requests made in relation to Freedom of Information, Information Sharing and Disclosure, , Insurance, Court Orders and Notifiable Occupations and give due regard to Human Rights. - To carry out research for the process of review retention and disposal of records of police information in line with guidance and legislation. - To act as an internal contact to other departments across the Force. - Effectively communicate with partner agencies, members of the public and any other bodies as required. - To input all accurate and relevant data onto the appropriate please. - To identify duplicate and/or inaccurate records during research and pass to the Information Unit Manager to rectify. - To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act. - Any other duties or tasks as required within the scope of the role. In the interests of effective working any major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect the changing needs and circumstances. Such reviews and other consequential changes will be carried out in consultation with the post holder. The post holder will also be required to carry out such other duties, as may be within the general scope of the post.
