Overview

Provides day-to-day support to Procurement Supply Chain activities within Small Boats projects or wider Supply Chain business function. Applies Supply Chain processes within projects and works with other functional representatives and suppliers to meet operational needs of line management and the business  Procurement  The Small Boats Procurement Professional role will focus on providing day-to-day support to sourcing and procurement activities, through the management of day-today routine procurement activities, and by supporting strategic procurement initiatives or projects  The Small Boats Procurement Professional role will deal with stakeholders both in Supply Chain, Engineering, Projects, Prioduction and Quality functions and in suppliers to ensure that day-to-day objectives around quality, cost and delivery are achieved  Furthermore, the role will entail knowledge of transactional procurement technologies as well as an understanding of the basics of contract law, negotiation and supplier management techniques  With appropriate guidance and supervision, the Small Boats Procurement Professional role will conduct analysis and transactional processes, developing an understanding of the MRP system and any other relevant systems  The role also requires a good professional knowledge and understanding of procurement principles and practices, including the effects and implications of decisions made to business stakeholders and suppliers  Requires knowledge of Supply Chain technologies as well as an understanding of the basics of contract law, negotiation, supplier management, MRP systems and any other relevant systems  In addition, the role requires professional knowledge and appreciation of Procurement, Logistics and Planning principles and practices  IT skills are required to perform the role effectively
