Learning and Development Advisor - 12 month FTC Your new company A highly respected independent law firm based in The City has over 500 lawyers, offering a wide range of legal services to both private individuals and companies. They specialise in cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and complex cases and are currently undergoing a period of excelled growth. Your new role This role forms an integral part of the firms Learning and Development function, supporting the fee earner population. Responsibilities/ Duties Manage and oversee the creation of each 'Academy term', launch event and prospectus Provide full Learning & Development support to departments within the Firm, including the creation of a learning plan and a deep understanding of their learning needs Liaise with the project managers to understand key business change initiatives and how this can be supported through learning Regularly review processes and be proactive with improvements Develop relationships with suppliers and seek out new suppliers to change our learning offering Organise and plan trainee, apprenticeship and departmental training Embed a new Learning Management System (LMS) into the firm and consider how this can be successfully launched Coordinate and improve our coaching programme Provide support and guidance to assistants in the team Liaise and build relationships with internal and external providers Coordinate our professional qualifications and membership programme Work with the wider HR team to support departmental projects. Manage the L&D budget and work with the firm and finance to reconcile actual spend. Deliver a range of learning for the Academy. Coordinate the induction process for new joiners and transition programmes for newly promoted members of the firm. What you'll need to succeed Strong working knowledge of supporting a team in Learning and Development Professional services background desirable, ideally within a law Firm, though experience within a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation will stand candidates in good stead Interest in the design element of Learning and Development training Strong IT Skills in Word, Excel and Outlook Able to prioritise and multitask Willingness and desire to learn Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential issues Experience of LMS systems and online learning desirable but not essential.
