Position Snapshot Cereal Partners Automation Engineer Staverton £Competitive Salary, bonus potential private health insurance (Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate) Position Summary We are looking for an experience Automation Engineer to join our engineering team in Staverton, you will provide automation support across Manufacturing Execution Systems across the factory, ensuring that all MES-Automation activities enhance business objectives, product quality and plant performance. A day in the life of an Automation Engineer As an Automation Engineer you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and develop of the manufacturing control systems and their interface with the wider UK network. Other key day to day activities will be: Management of the sites PLC networks, hardware and software. Management of the PLC network support contracts. Responsible for providing technical support and training to Technicians and Engineers. MES/Automation/FAS gap analysis compliance. Duty holder for MES and Automation. Ensure safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training. Ensure documentation including manuals, diagrams, software packages etc. are updated and correct. Support CAPEX Projects across the site. Manage site obsolescence plan, pro-actively identify critical areas and implement upgrades What will make you successful To be successful in this key role we expect you to ideally have experience working in a manufacturing maintenance environment and have strong service orientation amongst internal stakeholders with lots of proactive initiative and attention to detail. Other key attributes we are looking for are: Ideally HNC/Degree in appropriate technical discipline or equivalent. Detailed knowledge of PC, PLC, Database and SCADA systems. Proven experience in PLC/HMI programming. Experience using Rockwell Allen Bradley Experienced using Wonderware InTouch. You will be able to support with software development, including MES, Automation, HMI screen design, database design. Good knowledge of industrial IT/FAS. Data transfer, communication and networking systems. Process control systems knowledge. Strong and highly developed fault finding and problem analysis skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work on own initiative and implement capital projects What you need to know What can we offer in return?
