IT Helpdesk Technician Accountable to: IT Support Technician Location: Woodford Green, Essex Hours of work: 38 Hours Job Purpose: To provide remote support to our clients over the phone and using remote ac-cess software, assisting with daily operations such as backup checks, building and configuring client machines and producing performance reports. Key Responsibilities: Provide first Line Helpdesk support via phone and remote access software Walk customers through the problem solving process Daily operational checks Client machine builds Ordering of equipment Management of asset database Some on-site support Key Skill requirements: Basic understanding of core networking concepts Good fault finding and diagnostics skills Excellent customer service skills Valid UK driving license access to own vehicle Desirable skills and experience: Ability to work well in a small team Good diagnostics thought processes Able to work independently when required Some hands-on experience working with Microsoft Technologies such as Windows, Windows Server, Office, Office 365 Some experience desirable working with server / desktop hardware Some relevant work experience preferred but not essential Industry recognised qualification preferred but not essential Below is a summary of our typical Statement of Main Terms & Conditions of Employment. Probationary: This post shall be subject to a 6 month probationary period during which your performance will be monitored on a regular basis by your line manager.
