As a Principle Software Developer In Test you'll be joining the Quality Assurance and Test function of our Technology team. You'll develop high-quality test cases to ensure adequate testing is performed on the rapid development of software within a product channel. The code you'll design and test cases you'll execute will continue to make us one of the most trusted brands in the industry. Your role in the team You'll use various technologies to develop high-quality automation so it's essential you have experience in this discipline. You'll write acceptance criteria alongside our talented team of Developers, BAs and Product Owners, collaborating on technical solutions and communicating your goals and results. You'll own the set up and management of data as well as the execution of tests, functionally and through automated test suites. Your people coaching and mentoring skills will also be strong to continuously develop the team. Our team goal is to display continuous improvement, and you'll play a big part in making this happen. This fantastic opportunity will grant you the freedom to shape the technical direction within our Retail Technology department. Skills needed You'll have a background of developing automation test frameworks using Java and expertise in API testing. Experience of working in an agile environment would also be advantageous. If you've got AWS Cloud experience or knowledge of testing real times messaging systems that would be great, but if not we can help you learn. As a Principal within the team, you will need to be comfortable dealing with various key personnel across our business, help with defining strategy as well as exploring the use of new technology and frameworks within the industry. You'll also be a passionate problem solver who relishes the opportunity to become the technical authority for all software testing within the department.
