Overview
We are currently working with an award-winning software house based in Leeds that are looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer. The company have an excellent reputation for building and delivering complex data-driven software solutions for organisations looking to solve complex challenges with data. They are looking to double in size in the next 2 years and you will be a key component of driving this growth. You will have the opportunity to contribute to methods of tooling and appropriate technology choices, along with best-practice approaches to SDLC approaches and overall quality. As a business they are true technologists; they choose the best tools for the job not just what's cool now. They are looking for someone who's passion aligns with this, you will ideally be an advocate of open source and an active contributor to the tech community. You will be a key member of the organisation, responsible for leading a highly Agile team from a technical point of view. This is ideal for someone that wants a leadership role whilst maintaining fully hands on. They are open to accepting Engineers that have worked with one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python, Go and Node.js. The key thing for them is that you're open to learning new technologies and you will ideally will have commercially worked with at least two languages. They are happy to up skill you in areas such as microservices, cloud and DevOps. If you want to work for a business where you progress quickly, work with a variety of the latest tech on enterprise projects then this is the role for you.
