We work with several schools across the local area, that offer Science Technician roles on a full or part time basis. Your new role As a School Science Technician in the Coventry and Warwickshire area, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the work of the teachers in the Science Department. You will enable the smooth running of the subject by ensuring all equipment is operating properly and safely for the use in practical science lessons. You will carry out risk assessments, run trials and prepare necessary solutions for practical experiments, as well as liaise with staff over any equipment and safety issues. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, candidates with previous experience in working as a Science Technician or degree equivalent will be essential. You must contribute to the health and safety of students and other staff and manage the effective implementation of projects and science initiatives to be able to explain problems and provide solutions clearly. You must be motivated and have good organisation skills, with an analytical approach and have the ability to work alone, as well as part of a team.
