Care Support Worker Dora Matthews House -Coleford, Gloucestershire Salary: £8.21ph Hours: 21 hours per week Dora Matthews House is a new Housing and Care Development. Named after a popular local figure, who for many years worked for the Dr Charley’s Lunch Club and contributed a lot to the local Coleford community, Dora Matthews House provides 44 self-contained one- and two-bedroom apartments for those who are 55 years upwards as well as five, two-bedroom dormer bungalows for people with Learning Disabilities. We are now looking to recruit new Care Support Workers to support our service users Our ideal Care Support Worker candidate will have: Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community. An awareness and understanding of high-quality home care. Good communication skills, patience and flexibility. An understanding of safeguarding and person-centered support. A flexible working pattern and able to do shift work. Alternate weekend working pattern. Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all our Care Staff. In return for your hard work, we offer our Care Support Worker: 22 days paid holiday per annum bank holidays (pro rata). Ongoing training and progression opportunities. Thorough induction and regular support from all management and staff. Flexible working hours. The option to work towards qualifications in NVQ Health & Social Care level 2&3.
