Overview

A very well-known International Law firm is seeking a new Business Development Executive to join their London office on a permanent basis. You will support the firm with carrying out practice support and business development activities for Corporate and Anti-Trust in London and EMEA, whilst also working with the team based in New York. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining BD plans by identifying key clients and targets. Daily, you will be responsible for drafting credentials and pitches whilst carrying out research and analysis - including competitor analysis on key clients, practices and sectors. You will be the driving force behind identifying new business opportunities and facilitating the communication between partners within practices and sector interest groups. Responsibilities: Acting as a first point of contact for the London partners and lawyers in the Corporate and Anti-Trust PG’s Supporting the EMEA BD managers in executing the corporate and Anti-Trust PG plans Developing and maintaining key messages, marketing materials, standard slides, credentials and pitch materials for key practices Analysing and tracking key clients, targets and BD plans for individual clients Organising and attending partner meetings, creating agendas, documenting actions and following up on actions agreed Working with Marketing and Communications on profile raising and thought leadership initiatives for key practices and sectors Preparing credentials and pitches, tailoring materials for individual clients Ensuring consistency of pitch material and seeking improvements in quality Supporting client presentations Keeping partners informed of developments at key clients, both internally and externally Working with the Research team to research clients, markets and sectors Managing data held on key clients Key skills required: Educated to degree level Minimum of two years BD experience in a law firm or in a professional services environment A strong general knowledge of business and financial markets Exceptional attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent analytical and research skills A team player with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships at all levels of the firm An organised and methodical approach with the ability to take a structured approach to problem solving and decision making
