Managing Director

Location: Leeds or Manchester Our client manages a UK focused PRS property portfolio's on behalf of private equity investors. Their primary focus is delivering an exceptional experience to their residents by providing quality affordable homes, whilst delivering optimum results to their investors. In order to support their future growth and investment plan, our client is planning to appoint a new Managing Director for the business which currently extends to 2,000 units and is planning to get to 10,000 units over the next five years. This new Managing Director will lead and build an experienced, well-established leadership and specialist property team. The Directors of Finance, Operations and Capital Projects are all established and in place, so the key objectives of the role will centre on creating and delivering a dynamic, sustainable and successful operating strategy for the business. The Remit Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and find ways to improve processes Develop and implement sales growth strategies with key stakeholders in the business Act as a liaison between company and clients for quality assurance Ensure the development of health and safety practices and oversee compliance with those practices Coordinate the sustainability strategies Foster a culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity Develop an annual operating plan that supports the business’ long term operations strategy. Present new ideas and cash flow strategies Work closely with the private equity investors to further develop the strategy of the business Key Candidate Attributes The successful candidate will come from either the PRS, student or hospitality sectors, be highly commercial with a well-developed and extensive network and demonstrable operational experience in having delivered complex property and operational investment projects, be that in concept, brand or property development. A strategic-thinker with the pace and ability to translate big ideas into action and reality An accomplished and proven senior manager with a track record of developing and running successful teams Entrepreneurial drive is important – this individual will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity of vision to the business Demonstrable experience in managing significant investment portfolios and delivering large-scale projects on time and on budget Able to bring fresh ideas and wider industry perspective with a proven network within the hospitality and leisure sectors Strong on marketing and PR Summary This is an excellent opportunity for a Managing Director level individual to develop an already well established business to an even greater level with the backing of a successful and committed group of private equity investors.
