Overview

Large government department in Liverpool is recruiting an Interim Financial Accountant for 3 months. Your new company Large central government department based in Liverpool Your new role Reporting into the Head of Finance you'll play a key role in preparing the organisations 2019/20 year end accounts together with accounting changes in 2020/21. You'll also support the implementation of a change to the leases accounting standard IFRS 16. This will include building on preparation work already completed, looking at the required accounting adjustments and building into existing systems. You'll also collaborate closely with HSE's finance business partners, and analyse a range of financial data to support / influence decision making. What you'll need to succeed ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualified accountant with public sector experience or has previously implemented changes to accounting standards.
