Maintenance Fitter Whitwell, Nr Worksop, Nottinghamshire If you are a plant maintenance professional with experience in a minerals processing environment, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a well-established business. The Organisation With over 120 years’ experience, our client utilises the properties of lime and minerals to create bespoke, sustainable solutions for a variety of sectors. Their subsidiary is based in Whitwell and supplies dolime to customers in the UK steel industry. Our client has invested over £10 million into this site to improve the kiln process, increase production capabilities, improve fuel efficiency and reduce environmental emissions. They are now looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team and support the smooth running of their Whitwell site. Working in line with Health and Safety practices, you will carry out tasks in a timely manner and strive to minimise plant and equipment downtime. About You To join our client as a Maintenance Fitter, you will need: - Plant maintenance experience, gained within a minerals processing environment - A strong work ethic - Good communication skills - A proactive approach Ideally, you will be licensed to operate a forklift truck, cherry picker or crane slinger, but this isn’t essential. Some experience of working with kilns would be beneficial, as would welding experience. Other organisations may call this role Maintenance Technician, Plant Technician, Plant & Equipment Technician, Site Equipment Fitter, Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Equipment Mechanic, or Heavy Industry Equipment Fitter. This is a full-time role, working on a shift rota.
